The Merchant Navy Association Newsletter 'Full Ahead'

The Merchant Navy Association commissions a newsletter four times per year in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

The newsletter offers regular features such as 'Around The Branches', where each of the branches has an opportunity to tell their news or pass on their stories, 'Postbag' where individuals get their opportunity to have their say, request help or just tell thier news.

Many interesting stories appear in each of the issues thanks to the great work that editor John Rix does to search them out for the pleasure of all, many of which tell of days of old (and some not so old) and bring back memories for many.

Each issue looks also at the latest book releases to offer an insight into what is available and receives a special review mostly by the editor himself. Also in each issue we find 'Ships In Profile', a series of articles giving details of a different ship in each issue.

If you would like to contribute to a forthcoming issue the dealines are as follows:

Autumn Issue - contributions required by 31st August
Winter Issue - contributions required by 3rd November
